By plane ✈️
Ryanair will fly you directly to Pescara from: Barcelona (Girona), Bruxelles (Charleroi), Bucarest, Dusseldorf (Weeze), Frankfurt (Hahn), Krakow, London Stansted, Malta, Milan (Orio al Serio), Prague, Warsaw (Modlin)
From Milan you’ll have some extra options with Alitalia (Malpensa / Linate)
While Volotea links the city with Italian main islands flying from Cagliari, Catania and Palermo
Once landed at Abruzzo Airport you’ll be about 3 km from Pescara city centre, on its western border and will have a few options to get around:
Taxis
There’s a taxi rack in front of the airport terminal and one just outside the central station main exit.

You can buy bus tickets from the automatic machine in the arrivals terminal area.
By train 🚄
Pescara (Central) station lies on the Adriatic North-South route. Trenitalia Freccia, InterCity (daytime) and Intercity Notte (overnight) trains directly connect Pescara to Bologna, Milan, Turin and Venice to the north, and Bari, Brindisi and Lecce to the south.
There are regional trains connecting Pescara to Rome as well. Although they run on a spectacular route crossing the mountains, they take about twice as long as busses. So if you’re planning to come from Rome we strongly recommend you take the bus instead (see below).

By coach 🚌
Getting to Pescara by coach is the cheapest way to go, and the fastest if you’re coming from Rome.

By car 🚗
Coming from Bologna/Bari: from A14 motorway take the exit Pescara Ovest-Chieti. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Pescara, turn right onto the ramp to Pescara/Porto, merge onto E80 (Asse Attrezzato). At the end of E80, at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and turn right on Via Bardet/Via Francesco Ferdinando D'Avalos.
Coming from Rome: from A25 motorway, take the exit Chieti-Pescara and then follow E80 (Asse Attrezzato) freeway, direction Pescara. Continue on Asse Attrezzato until the end. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and turn right on Via Bardet/Via Francesco Ferdinando D'Avalos.
